MK Kids with Diabetes

Supporting children with type 1 diabetes and their families

Welcome to 'MK Kids with diabetes'. We are a voluntary group of Diabetes UK and we are based in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

Our aim is to offer help, support and fun for children with diabetes and their parents, brothers and sisters. In particular we:

	Support newly diagnosed children and their families
	Share ideas and experience for managing blood glucose in children and teenagers.
	Offer advice on getting the best out of hospitals and schools.
	Provide fun events for the children with diabetes and their families.
	Arrange talks from experts.
	Have a library of equipment, leaflets and books.
	Help raise funds for research.

The age range of the children varies from babies to teenagers and they all have several injections and blood tests every day.
